Course Master: Dr. Cynthia Smith  This course covers the principles underlying the mechanisms of oncogenesis and issues involved in drug intervention. Topics include mechanisms of neoplastic transformation, signal transduction pathways, DNA and RNA tumor viruses, oncogenes, tumor suppressor genes, multidrug resistance, antiviral and antineoplastic drugs, antimetabolite drugs, nucleotide analogues, and gene therapy.
