 How to Apply

Our current students and applicants represent a wide a range of undergraduate institutions & science majors. While most of our successful applicants have scored above 1200 on the GRE and hold a GPA of 3.0 or above, we consider "the entire applicant".  This means that strong research experience combined with the ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of the research is also taken into account when considering an application. Test scores are an extremely valuable set of initial criteria but are not the only consideration.

If you are interested in receiving additional information about our Ph.D. and/ or M.S. programs please be sure to let us know via our easy to use, on-line inquiry form. This is the best way to get things started!

After submitting an inquiry you can contact our program coordinator, Sharron Graves with any questions that you might have. She is an excellent source of information and will serve as your primary point of contact throughout the application process.

Once you are ready, you can complete your application on-line by going directly to the official UMB Graduate School Admission Application. Our GRE institutional code is 5848 and our GRE departmental code is 0206.

Once you have submitted your application, it is recommended you contact Sharron Graves to ensure it has been received and properly processed. If you have additional questions, please contact us.
